Sri Lanka Golf Information

The fighting has ceased and peace will hopefully prevail in this jewel of the Indian ocean. For there is much to see and to experience in Sri Lanka - from its ancient cities, its buddhist heritage, beaches and wildlife to its food.

The country's golf courses are out of the ordinary too. The Royal Colombo Golf Club in Colombo has a railway track running through it, the picturesque and quaint Nuwara Eliya Golf Club in Nuwara Eliya town is at a height of 2000 metres and the recently opened Victoria Golf & Country Resort, near Kandy is truly spectacular.

The only international airport in Sri Lanka is at Katunayake, 30km north of Colombo, the capital city.

December to March are the best months, when the weather is at its driest.

Colombo is a Great Place for Shopping for Gems & Jewellery. Nuwara Eliya , also called Little Scotland has some huge tea estates and tea factories which are worth visiting. And Buddhist Sites abound.
