Alpine Golf and Sports Club

7007 yards from the championship tees and designed by Ronald Garl, this is one of the best courses in Thailand. It also hosted the 2000 & 2004 Johnnie Walker Classic won by Tiger Woods and Miguel Jimenez respectively. It is undoubtedly a tough course and is not really recommended for new golfers. The layout, the rough and the super fast greens can be a challenge even for the most seasoned of golfers. Exclusively a members club, although selected tee times can be arranged through Golftripz.

Thai Country Club

7157 yards from the championship tees and designed by Dennis Griffiths, this is considered by many to be the best golfing experience in Thailand. The course is always in immaculate condition as is the club house with the most luxurious facilities on offer. Thai Country Club has hosted major tournaments such as Asian Honda Classic 1997, that was won by Tiger Woods, the Johnnie Walker Super Tour 1999 won by Vijay Singh and the 2005 Volvo Masters won by Shiv Kapur.

 St. Andrews 2000 Golf Club

One of the few golf courses in the world that features 2 par 6s in a par 74 layout which plays a whopping 7540 yards. But if you subtract the length of the two excesses of the par 6s, the 700 yard 4th hole and the 710 yard 13th, then it is within reasonable standards. The course designed by Desmond Muirhead in a Scottish links style is a peach and is amongst the best and more unique challenges to encounter in Thailand. The golf course itself recommends that players with handicaps 18 or lower only should have a go at it.

Laem Chabang International Country Club

A true Jack Nicklaus gem , this course features three 9 hole courses, the Mountain, Lake and Valley courses. A very popular course amongst visitors and locals, there is seldom a moment when the course is not busy. It really does rank as one of the top courses in Thailand and it is not difficult to understand why – the design makes very good use of the natural hilly terrain carving out the three different nines – with the usual Jack Nicklaus signature of fairway bunkers and large water bodies that are strategically placed along with the various tee positions to catch any errant shot. To complement the design, the course retains its
immaculate condition both through the fairways and greens. The caddies, club house, locker rooms and practice facilities are also top notch, making for an experience that you do not want to miss, if playing in Pattaya.

Burapha Golf Club

One of the better managed golf courses with careful attention to tee times and facilities have made this championship course a natural choice to be played on in a Pattaya golf holiday. Although not as lush in appearance as its opposite neighbour, Laem Chabang, the layout makes clever use of the hilly terrain, natural lakes and the vegetation to provide challenging and fun golf. A clear testimony to the calibre of the course is the fact that it has hosted several professional and amateur tournaments including the Amateur World Golf Championship in 2004 and the Thailand Open of the PGA Asian tour in August 2010.
