Pattaya, More than a Party Place
Pattaya could quite easily be the party capital of the world and that would be a euphemism. There is nothing, but the entertainment on offer that entices tourists from all over the world. True but not completely! There is an exception list, albeit a small one – the Pattaya golf courses and the beaches, especially the quieter ones. On the subject of golf courses – there are plenty, to suit various budgets for a Pattaya Golf Holiday.
Leaving All Else Aside
For those who are still to visit Pattaya, it seemingly exists to fulfil the wildest fantasy humans crave. Correction, only male humans, because that’s what it is about, even while remaining sensitive to a gender- neutral world. If this sounds repulsive, it could be difficult to come to terms with Pattaya. However, if you are keen on checking what the fuss is about, it could lead to discovering nicer things. One of them is the food – there is some fabulous Thai cuisine to be experienced, especially the seafood. The others are the splendid beaches, the quieter ones being at resorts removed from the crazy town area. If you do consider Pattaya, you should know, it is less than a 2-hour drive from Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi airport. This proximity to one of the South East Asian hubs sets Pattaya up as a convenient getaway.
The Variety of Pattaya Golf Courses
As mentioned earlier, the Pattaya golf courses are another reason that the golf enthusiasts go there. More than 25 of them make up the golfing landscape – budget layouts to superb championship standard golf courses. These include golf courses such as Bang-Pra or Khao Kheow at the value end of the offering. At the higher end, Siam Country Club’s three courses – “Old”, “Plantation” and “Waterside” courses are superb. Somewhere in the middle lies Laem Chabang, a Jack Nicklaus designed favourite, a must in any Pattaya golf holiday.
Permanent Pattaya Golf Holiday
You could get a different golf course daily in a month long Pattaya golf holiday. And there are even cheaper ones amongst the Pattaya golf courses to help that cause. If that’s the way you see it! And then being Pattaya, there’s always some room and opportunity to continue beyond the 18th – to the watering hole. In fact there is so much to like about golf in Pattaya, that many decide to stay on permanently. Find it hard to believe? Let’s just leave it at golf!
Good Time to Go
Most of the year is good for a Pattaya golf holiday, although the “winter” months are a lot more pleasant. The rainy season lasts from May through October and on occasion it can come down quite hard. However, the rain usually does not last too long and even if it all appears grim, it can vanish quickly. That said, there is always the slightly higher chance one has to take with weather during these months. On the flip side, this is the better time for deals from Pattaya golf courses. Also, with the hotels being a lot cheaper in this “low” season, your Pattaya golf holiday comes at great value.
