Vietnam Golf Trophy is a leisure golfers’ tournament that takes place in one of Vietnam’s golf destinations each year. A competitive format for golf with various nationalities participating, combined with the destination forming the main backdrop lures many golfers from all over the world to this event. The Vietnam Golf Trophy will be in its 4th edition in 2019, and will take place in Danang, the 3rd most important city in Vietnam after the capital Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
The inaugural edition was in Hanoi in 2016, followed by Danang in 2017 and the last one in Ho Chi Minh City in 2018. With the growing popularity of Danang as a tourist destination and the burgeoning quality of golf infrastructure, it is only apt that Vietnam Golf Trophy returns to Danang. As many as five top class golf courses now make up the golf landscape in Danang – the oldest amongst them, the Montgomerie Links, the Sir Nick Faldo designed Laguna Lang Co, the Greg Norman designed Danang Golf Club, Ba Na Hills designed by Luke Donald and the latest Vinpearl Nam Hoi An. The proximity to the golf courses from most resorts and hotels in Hoi An and Danang coupled with the mild traffic conditions in the area, means that you can get to and back from the golf courses without too much hassle and time wasted. Even with the courses that are a little bit away, the outstanding scenery is bound to keep you captivated. The 2019 edition of the Vietnam Golf Trophy, just as the previous ones, will have 3 tournament rounds – one each at 3 different golf courses – the chosen ones being Laguna Lang Co Golf Club, Ba Na Hills Golf Club and the Vinpearl Nam Hoi An Golf Club. The three golf courses are distinct in character but all of them boast very scenic settings that will make the trip to Danang more than worth it.
